SAVANNAH, Ga. -- HOS Management, a second generation Savannah hospitality and development company, had the pleasure of hosting the Hemingway Look-Alike Society for their mid-year winter gathering. This is the first time the nonprofit organization, whose membership includes men resembling the late Ernest Hemingway, held their mid-year winter gathering outside of Florida.
"We couldn't be happier with our decision to bring the Hemingway Look-Alike Society's mid-year winter gathering to The Cotton Sail Hotel and Savannah for the first time," said Gregory Fawcett, president of the Hemingway Look-Alike Society. "We certainly admired the distinct historic flair of the city and especially admired the unique restoration of the hotel, from the in-room brick facade to the 200-year old floors reclaimed from the roof of the original structure. It's a beautiful place to stay."
The Hemingway Look-Alike Society awards 10 annual scholarships in nursing and journalism to students in the Florida Keys through membership dues, fundraisers and private donations. Over the last 14 years, more than $150,000 in scholarships have been awarded.
