SAVANNAH, Ga. -- HOS Management, a second generation hospitality and development company headquartered in Savannah, Ga., was recently honored by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for "Excellence in Rehabilitation" for The Cotton Sail Hotel on April 17, 2015 during The Georgia Trust's 38th Annual Preservation Awards, which is part of the organization's Spring Ramble festivities in Athens, Ga.
"The Cotton Sail Hotel is the first boutique hotel independently owned and operated by HOS Management," said Kris Patel, CFO at HOS Management. "It was very important to us to maintain a hands-on approach when undertaking the rehabilitation and launch of The Cotton Sail, so it is such an honor to be recognized for our work."
The Cotton Sail Hotel made its grand debut in May 2014 and has since become a premier destination for Savannah's diverse and eclectic mix of locals and travelers. Named as a tribute to its storied past, the iconic Ryan Building that once housed a 1800s cotton warehouse was painstakingly preserved and conscientiously revitalized. The 56 well-appointed guestrooms feature 200-year old heart of pine hardwood floors originating from the roof of the original structure, as well as original brickwork exposed in several areas of the building.
Ideally situated just steps from City Market and Savannah's famed River Street, The Cotton Sail Hotel offers breathtaking views of the Savannah River and features a long list of upscale amenities, including a rooftop restaurant and bar.
HOS Management manages a diverse group of iconic hotel brands in the Southeast region including Hilton, Choice, IHG and Marriott, and currently has Aloft and Fairfield hotels in development in historic downtown Savannah.
